Ladd was a tremendous scholar and because of his exposure of pretrib rapturism on theological grounds he made not a few pretrib teachers quite nervous. At about the same time, the long hidden origins of the pretrib were starting to be scrutinized. The scholar who has spent far more time examining those origins than anyone else - more than three decades - is journalist/historian Dave MacPherson whose bestselling book THE RAPTURE PLOT (Armageddon Books)drowns readers with oceans of newly found and terribly embarrassing facts about the 178-year-old pretrib view. His many web items on Google include "Deceiving and Being Deceived," "Famous Rapture Watchers," "Pretrib Rapture Diehards," "Pretrib Rapture Desperados," and "Open Letter to Todd Strandberg." See "Tribulation Central" on the web for his shocking collection of writings.
